Black History Month

Jewel-Osco’s annual Black History Month features local minority-owned businesses sold on their shelves all year round

Challenge

As part of our everyday strategy to build loyalty with our ethnic communities, Jewel-Osco wanted to help local minority-owned businesses bring more awareness of their products to the community.

Solution

We put together an Annual “Celebrating Black History” event that was filled with product showcases from more than 25 local, small businesses, live jazz music, a charitable donation ceremony, raffles, giveaways, prizes and coupons and more!

Results

Throughout February, event stores saw up to 10% lifts in sales as a whole!
